Phase 3 – The Heart Health Champion Phase

Now the progress achieved in phase 1 and phase 2 can really result in major heart health benefits! The caloric intake in this phase will increase as the physical activity increases as well.

To graduate to phase 4, these goals must be met:

  • Ability to maintain moderate intensity aerobic physical activity for 250 minutes per week
  • Continue strength training twice per week
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18.5-23
  • Complete a 5K or 10K, 25 mile bike, or a sprint triathlon (optional) ©2024
