Awesome! Now you know quite a bit about the different terms and calculations that you need to follow during your weight loss program. Just a few more important tidbits of information that are important to know
Your goal weight loss should be around 1-2 pounds per week. This means that if you have 100 pounds to lose, it will take you up to a year to get to your goal. Losing weight faster can lead to significant health issues.
Fluid shifts account for day to day weight variations. After an intense workout, if hydration is not done properly, overweight people can lose 5-10 pounds of fluid at a time. Don’t get excited if you lose a few pounds after walk on a hot day, this is just fluid loss, not fat loss.
Weight loss happens faster the more overweight you are, so as you get closer to your goal weight, the weight loss will slow down. You will get there eventually though, don’t let it frustrate you.
Sleep is critical to losing weight and burning fat for many different reasons that are discussed later in the program.
