4.13 Identify Your Stressors

Everybody’s life is different and there will be quite different stressors for each person. Sometimes the stressors are obvious such as a new job, financial hardship or taking care of a sick loved-one. Other times there are less obvious stressors involved, such as simple things like having to cook, clean, mow the lawn or other daily activities that take up your time and energy. You can use a journal to right down things that you find throughout the day that add stress to your life.

No matter how big or small, you need to make a list right now of all the things that you think increase your stress level. Then, use the methods that you learn here to tackle each of them one at a time. You may not be able to make them completely disappear, but at least you can learn the cope with them as you will see.
