SwimmingGetting in to the pool can be great for those of you with arthritis or joint issues, but it is also an excellent aerobic exercise for anyone looking to improve their heart health. Swimming is one of the few aerobic exercises that uses both the arms and the legs.

Be sure to monitor your intensity of activity appropriately. While you can purchase heart rate monitors for swimming, you could also just use your percieved exertion as well.
