3.23 Physical Activity Summary and Recommendations

The recommendations from the American Heart Association and the Centers for Disease Control do vary a little, however it is clear that the amount of physical activity needed to maintain good health is quite a large amount. Sticking to these guidelines does take time and commitment and should be a lifelong habit.

Following these guidelines has been strongly shown in clinical research to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and death by a significant amount.
